While a select few may have known where one of the nation’s top RB recruits would sign for awhile now, Isaiah Crowell did the rest of us a favor by making it official today — signing a letter of intent to play for Mark Richt’s Georgia Bulldogs.
Lucky for us, Crowell and DT Gabe Wright’s decisions were deemed worthy of a live look-in during ESPN U’s excellent National Signing Day special, because the newest Dawg decided to pull one of the more memorable stunts in recruiting announcement history…
After a few awkward seconds which saw Isaiah struggle to remove his Under Armour All-American jacket, the 5’11”, 210 tailback finally managed to reveal a red, black and grey tie.
Unfortunately, the red in the tie was leaning towards the “crimson” end of the color scale, so fans had to wait in agony while Crowell reached under the table for a hat that suggested Georgia was clearly on Isaiah’s mind.

As seen in the video below, Crowell conducted the rest of his announcement spectacle with puppy-in-hand — almost certainly a National Signing Day first, and this despite not even knowing the pup’s name.
