Behold! Frumpzilla's content filtered by tags. You've landed here via our tag cloud, or maybe you simply came across this page in an organic search. Either way, thanks for the visit, and please bear with us, 'cause this whole "tagging" stuff is relatively new to the site. The results below are associated with a specific "tag", and are just snippets of the entire article/entry. Click on the title or "Jump!" to read more.
As young as Frumpzilla is (still less than 2 months), we're constantly trying to come up with new, quality additions and contributions to the site. Fresh content, polls, tag clouds videos, photos, ads, etc, but, to my knowledge, we've yet to do a "List".
Jones allegedly made it rain more than previously thought in connection with the Vegas shootings that led to his 2007 suspension. Reports are out indicating that the troubled corner had over $15,000 extorted from him by Arvin Kenti Edwards, a man now in custody in connection with the shootings at Vegas' Harlem Knights strip club. Apparently Edwards threatened Jones and his family, and went through the former West Virginia star's friends and relatives in order to secure the payments for "services rendered". Jones flew to Seattle earlier to identify Edwards as the gunman and extortioner and continues to maintain that he had no role in the actual shootings whatsoever.
More details in the link, but, all in all, I'd say $15,000 was a bargain under the circumstances, and apparently Jones has been cooperating with the authorities for quite some time now, which is good. Nevertheless, it seems a bit unclear how this may affect Pacman's path to being reinstated by the league. Was this simply "hush money", or something connected to the investigation, or maybe just money Jones genuinely believed was necessary to ensure his family's safety? Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how all this pans out.
Found this poignant photo over at Brahsome, who apparently got it from The Sporting Blog, who apparently was provided it by Mister Irrelevant. I'm not sure about all that, Frumpsters, you'll have to untangle that mysterious web of networking for yourselves, but, given the quality of those respective sites, it should be fun and informative. Who knows, you may even find a new site to frequent/bookmark/ subscribe to. My guess is you will.
Anyway, this pic and the Heels' surprisingly lopsided loss to Kansas last night inspired me to vent about something that's haunted me for years: Roy Williams' wardrobe. That tie in particular...
