Hedley Lamar: 1927-2008
Actor Harvey Korman passed away a few days ago at the age of 81. Perhaps best known as Hedley Lamar (not Hedy...) from Mel Brooks' epic classic Blazing Saddles, I, perhaps unfortunately, can't say that I'm all that familiar with Korman's other work. I can say, however, that his sublime, tongue-in-cheek take-off portrayal of the cliche, antagonistic old west land grabber was enough to make him immortal in my book. As such, I deicded to compile a handful of my favorite Hedley Lamar clips, or at least the ones I could scrounge up on You Tube. Make the jump for the full compilation.
