Random, Ridiculous Baseball Stats:  Volume 1

I know I'm starting this off with the "Dad" of NCAA power numbers, but good stuff will follow.  But maybe not this good.....

In 1985, a moustached-hero adorned with an elastic waistband stood atop the mountain and screamed, "Bring that shit to me!"  Obviously, Pedro Cerano stole this line during the Cleveland Indians' glorious run to the pennant a few years later.  Let's get to it.

This animal hit 48 home runs and drove in 143 runs that mystical year.  To top it off, he was drafted by the Expos and refused to play in the minors.  After a trade, the Rangers of Texas granted his request.  Talk about demanding respect.
