As the college basketball world is now well aware, Larry Drew II quit the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team recently. Such a shocking move, mid-season, was sure to ruffle some feathers in Chapel Hill, so I suppose it’s no surprise that some of the Carolina faithful were none too pleased about Mr. Drew’s decision.
That said, the heaps and mounds of dirty laundry dumped on Roy Williams’ UNC program via former Tar Heel Damion Grant’s Facebook page was very surprising, indeed.
We already highlighted a bit of this via a post on James McCant’s vitriolic message in response to Drew II’s decision being chided as a “total d-bag move.” Mr. McCants, father of Tar Heel great Rashad McCants, was a tad more sympathetic to Larry’s plight, and apparently didn’t mind letting the world know what he thought of Roy Williams either.
Well, as they say, the apple typically doesn’t fall too far from the tree, and (thanks to our friends over at CarolinaSucks.com) we now have access to what appears to be the entire Facebook debate — one that Rashad McCants himself decided to chime in on (after the jump)…
Lucky that someone had the vision to screen capture the epic nature of this conversation, because the messages have apparently since been deleted from Damion Grant’s Facebook page.
As you can see, James McCants isn’t the only one that has some pent up hostility towards Roy Williams. In fact, it appears Rashad might actually blame ‘Ol Roy for his lackluster NBA career.

Ok, first do we know that this IS truly McCants and his father? If it is, then it’s pretty easy to see that BOTH R McCants and Daddy have no accountability. Anyone that watched UNC was wondering how long Roy was going to tolerate McCants. Let’s put this in perspective…Roy has a multitude of players that play in the NBA and are/were stars…IF this is really true, it’d be the equivalent of Hurley and/or J Williams blaming Coach K for them not being in the NBA. You can here it now, J Williams telling his facebook page that it’s K’s fault about the accident. It’s comical and far from reality…Likely a hater trying to spread gossip…if not, well “you are what we thought you were.”

One last note, this likely is some UNC hater, read the “sources” quoted. Anyone can create a “facebook” page and say they are someone. For those Haters, think of this…IF Roy Williams does have that much clout in the NBA, then writing on his facebook page as “supposedly” he did, would do nothing but hurt McCants. Sad that some HATER has stooped to making allegations. Sad,

McCants is a serious jerk. Trust me, I know first hand. But now reading this you have to place blame on his up bringing. His father has just further hurt his chances of a NBA return by these comments. At least Rashad replied with talking like an adult. His father is just sad.
