Obviously not content to ruin Radiohead, Miley Cyrus has now set her sights on Nirvana.
Here’s the teen-pop starlet in Quito, Ecuador, performing a fairly straight cover of Nirvana’s 1991 hit “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
Am I surprised to learn that perhaps grunge’s most prominent group has had a profound impact on Cyrus’ artistic direction? Absolutely. The fact she apparently sings the Seattle Sound anthem to her brother prior to going on tour merely supplements the astonishment associated with this uncanny revelation.
Remarkable, really -perhaps I just never dug deep enough to pinpoint the influence in “Party in the USA”- but I guess Miley’s also probably isn’t the worst cover version I’ve ever heard. Yeah, almost certainly not. No, really; it’s actually not that bad.

Now, I thought Miley was done after Thome Yorke showed her the way to wonder wheeler land … apparently Miley wants to diss Cobaine’s fans too !

Miley has always been one of my favorite. her voice is really awesome
